Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Supports the organization's maintenance function by providing mechanical and technical engineering skills to improve and/or repair equipment. Helps to teach and mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting techniques.

Tasks:
Performs analysis of machine operation and control.
Participates in machine design improvement and automation processes.
Prepares machine part drawings.
Specifies machine hardware and coordinates the installation of improvement hardware.
Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning equipment.
Develops and coordinates predictive, preventive and TPM procedures.
Assists in machine repair and maintenance as required
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 years' in a manufacturing environment.
OR
Master's Degree in Engineering
A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical / Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering
Strong mechanical skills in a manufacturing setting.
Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize work tasks.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, project management and communication skills.
Willingness/desire to learn and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
Computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other 3d CAD software.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
