Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
? Supervises and directs the operations of the materials lab and its personnel.
? Creates and issues detailed specifications covering the physical and chemical properties of ferrous, nonferrous, and non-metallic materials.
? Assists with and oversees the chemical analysis of incoming raw materials to ensure ZF specifications are met.
? Assists with failure analysis.
? Specifies materials to be used in new products.
? Establishes physical and chemical analysis procedures to audit materials used in products.
? Establishes specifications for heat treatment processes.
? Provides support and staff assistance to other departments as necessary.
? Prepares technical documentation for discrepancies in material and makes recommendations for improvement.
? Communicates with customers, suppliers, and other departments to solve problems and ensure ZF material standards are maintained.
Required Education and Experience
B.S. Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
Willingness to become Certified ASNT NDT LEVEL III in Magnetic Particle Testing (Magnaflux) within 2 yrs.
Experience and Skill Requirements
Prefer two plus years of experience in metallurgical specifications, applications, and analysis. Six Sigma Greenbelt status preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
